My Freedmen Tree

We're excited that you're interested in becoming a verified member of the Descendants of Freedmen community. To receive enrollment instructions, you must register for a ZOOM session so we can arrange for you to be enrolled in the genealogy process to find your ancestor(s); OR collect your ancestor information to get you a verification certificate out.

If something isn't clear or you want to suggest something you think is missing, don't hesitate to drop us a line at freedmentree@volunteercouncil.org.

We aim to respond to all applicants within 3 business days.
